Residency It is about that fine line, where I can be anything I want to be, and cross disciplines with grace.
The centerpiece of the Davidoff Art Initiative is the Davidoff Art Residency.
With the goal of creating a conduit for professional mobility, cultural immersion, and creative exchange, the Davidoff Art Residency collaborates with five global venues to host yearly residencies for select artists from the Caribbean. Additionally, several international artists, as well as curators and writers, participate in a three-month residency in the Dominican Republic.
Davidoff is pleased to work with five international partner residency hosts for Caribbean artists: Künstlerhaus Bethanien (Berlin, German); Red Gate Gallery Residency (Beijing, China); Atelier Mondial and the Institute of Art at the FHNW Academy of Art and Design (Basel, Switzerland); Residency Unlimited (Brooklyn, New York, USA); and FLORA ars+natura (Bogotá, Colombia). The Davidoff Art Residency for international artists occurs in collaboration with Altos de Chavón School of Design (La Romana, Dominican Republic). Openings for all residencies are offered on a rolling basis throughout the year. For more information on Davidoff Art Residencies, click here.
Artist residency programs assist working artists to develop their specific skills, connect within global cultural networks, earn exposure for their research and practice, and share their expertise with locals and other creatives.
